Autumn is Coming!

WOW! Really long time without a post on here! I have to say I'm not too good at keeping up with a blog while wedding planning and trying to buy a house! Too much going on! However, I'm going to try to post at least once a week from now on with a specific topic and links to patterns, helpful hints, and maybe even some tutorials! Make sure you subscribe so you don't miss a thing!!

Autumn is coming!

It is September 1st! You all know what that means, pumpkin everything is hitting stores and all good basic white girls can officially begin decorating for the autumn season (looking at you, Becky!!!) There is another thing that happens to those who love fiber art as the weather begins to turn (slightly) cooler; We long to make shawls, wraps, ponchos, sweaters and anything that will both keep us warm and show how much we truly LOVE to knit! AMIRIGHT?!

Therefore, this week, I have compiled a group of knitting patterns for shawls, wraps and sweaters that will help any fiber addict celebrate the season in style! Oh, and by the way, all of these patterns are totally FREE!!!

"I Want That Wrap"

This pattern is perfect for something to keep you cozy on chilly autumn days. Looks great and will definitely keep you warm! Its a wrap, so its perfect for a go to extra layer. Use neutral yarn so that it can go with anything!

"Seedling Hooded Cardigan"

Ahhh, who doesn't love a hooded sweater on cold nights by the fire! This pattern is a great staple piece in any wardrobe. Add buttons to make it more like a coat!

"Basic V-Neck Pullover"

This is a staple piece for anyone! Its a simple pattern that can be customized with any color combination! Stripes anyone?!

"Red Hot Lady Shawl"
http://www.knitpicks.com/patterns/Red_Hat_Lady_Shawl_Pattern__D50349221.html
This shawl is ADORABLE! Its a simple pattern, but the fringe makes it "red hot". Feel free to make it in a neutral color to match your wardrobe!

"Lightweight Raglan Pullover"
https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2016/05/31/lightweight-raglan-pullover/
Perfect pattern for a man, this pullover is simple and teaches you a couple new tricks. It's sized for a woman, but you can just increase the amount of stitches/rows to obtain the right fit. Good tutorial for such a change here: Part 1 and Part 2

I hope these patterns help you all get into the autumn spirit!! Don't forget to subscribe and check back next week for more fiber art fun!

Happy Knitting!

Sara
