Fibericious!

Wow, so I missed last weeks post because I've been super busy... But I'm back, baby!

Two weeks ago I brought you a list of great transitional pieces to wear as we go from summer into autumn. How about we find some great yarn to make these beautiful patterns?!

This week I have focused on finding you the best places to buy yarn online. So pick a pattern, find needles, and lets order some yarn!!

The first online store I found is called Fabulous Yarn.
This online store carries a crazy variety of yarn brands that can be difficult to find in a local shop. Brands sold on this site include Malabrigo, Spud and Chloe, Madeline Tosh, Cascade, Blue Sky Alpaca, Shibui, and many, many more! If you're looking to find a specialty yarn, I'd look here first!

The second online store is one of my all time favorites: Knit Picks.
This is a brand of yarn that is high quality and VERY reasonably priced! They also have sales constantly so even if you chose a more expensive yarn, you can get a great deal. Make sure to sign up for their emails to get the dish on the latest sales!

Third, I have a shop that is a staple for anyone who loves handmade things; Etsy.
The fiber section of Etsy is so expansive it pays to narrow your search. Try looking for your favorite material (like silk or alpaca), or look for a specific weight of yarn, or specific color. It's really a great resource for unique yarn choices.

The final online (and brick and mortar) store is called Darn Good Yarn.
This shop is extremely unique. Not only does it sell awesome, hand-made, small batch yarn, but supports women from India and Nepal by doing so. They promote themselves as ethical yarn, and are living up to that description! You can read their whole story on their website. They sell sari skirts and yarn bowls that are hand made as well!

That's all for this week! Happy knitting!

Sara
